Mahashivaratri: Grand Event Friday, Feb 21

JOIN US ON THE MOST AUSPICIOUS NIGHT OF THE YEAR

TO WORSHIP LORD SHIVA

Friday, February 21st, starting at 5:00 pm and throughout the evening, the Lalita Chandika Temple will be celebrating Maha Shivaratri.

Join us online or at the Temple for this grand event. Here is the tentative schedule of worship:

• 5:00 PM: Fire Ceremony begins, with 1000 names of Lord Shiva

• 6:00 PM: Throughout evening, at yajna, devotees to chant 10,000 mantras of Om Namah Shivayah

• 6:00 pm: The first of four Shiva Pujas will be begin; four pujas will be done to two Shivalingams throughout the evening

• 7:00 pm: Bhajans with Shree Maa

• 8:00 pm: Rudri recitation

• 9:00 pm: Dancing

• 11:00 pm: Shiva Sahasranama

All are welcome to stay the evening. We do have some accommodations available still, so bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and towel. First come-first serve on the beds, so please reply to sangha@lalitachandika.org if you will be staying the evening and would like a bed (if available).
