Heal Your World with a Powerful Homa to Lord Shiva
Though the Lalita Chandika Temple is still officially closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the pujaris and priests are carrying on services for world peace and healing.
Jai Maa!
We are pleased to invite you to join us online for the powerful Mahā Mṛtyuñjaya Homa starting July 4, 2020 at 7:00 pm PT.
For those of you unfamiliar with the ancient Vedic traditions, a Homa (होम in sanskrit) is a ceremony where we make oblations into a fire, which serves as a medium between the devotee and God.
The Homa ritual is especially powerful in providing healing vibrations to not only the practitioners who perform it, but also to the surrounding area and the world at large. The thermal energy in the fire combined with the sound energy of the mantras purify the surroundings and bring peace and harmony to the mind.
It is a special privilege to participate or sponsor a Mahā Mṛtyuñjaya Homa, especially in the midst of the turmoil and chaos in the world right now due to Covid-19.
The mantra itself is a healing mantra that calms the mind, lowers anxiety, soothes emotions, and improves physical health. It blankets us with nurturing vibrations.
Learn the mantra and join us online:
ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृ त्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥
oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam
urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt
We adore the Father of the three worlds (Lord Shiva), the three-eyed one, he of excellent fame and the grantor of increase. As a cucumber is released from the bondage of the stem, so may we be free from death (the attachment to the material world) and dwell in immortality (become one with all-pervading, infinite divine energy).
Join us online on Saturday, July 4 at 7:00 pm PT
